Meet Buddy, a sweet 13-year-old golden retriever who has shared her life with Hannah, her human, and her best friend.
When Hannah turned 21, she enlisted in the army and left Buddy for the first time in her life for a long period of time to complete training.
Both Hannah and Buddy’s hearts ached at their distance from each other, three months later when it came to Hannah’s Christmas break, she was understandably ecstatic to get back home.
And we didn’t expect Buddy to react like this! She has clearly waiting for the day they would be reunited and couldn’t hold in all her emotions.
“Buddy was so overwhelmed that she just collapsed in pure happiness,” said Hannah. “We were apart for [more than three] months, so the reunion was such a beautiful experience.”
Despite Buddy being mostly deaf and suffering from arthritis, this didn’t stop her from giving Hannah the best welcome back ever.
“My parents were so astonished by how happy she was,” said Hannah. “She normally has trouble going up and down the stairs and takes shorter walks, but now that I was home she was so happy and active. She would get up and do her happy dance.”
